Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
